python-imposm software package provides importer for OpenStreetMap data - Python module, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-imposm
python-imposm is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-imposm package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-imposm *
You will get with python-imposm package name, version, architecture and description in a table
